Occupational Test Training Courses

Business Minds offer a range of public and in-house courses in Occupational Testing, that enable delegates to qualify for the nationally recognised British Psychological Society (BPS) Certificates of Competence in Testing.  The training in testing is split into two qualification levels, Level A and Level B.

 

Level A - Ability & Aptitude Tests

Five Days

Successful completion of this course will qualify delegates for the British Psychological Society's Certificate of Competence in Occupational Testing (Level A). This is a prerequisite for registering with the major test publishers. Subsequent registration with test publishers will give access to a range of ability, aptitude tests and interest inventories.

 

Level B - Personality Assessment

Five Days

Personality assessment can be an important element when determining an individuals effectiveness at work. Business Minds level B course covers PSYGNA in full and introduces 16PF personality questionnaire, both of which assess personality characteristics relevant to a wide range of occupations. Successful completion of this course, together with further work-based assignments will lead to BPS Intermediate Certificate in Occupational Testing - Level B and accelerated training for 16PF, OPQ and MBTI

 

Assessor Training

Duration:Two - Five days

Business Minds run a range of tailored courses to enable organisations to get the most benefit from their Assessment Centre process.

Our Assessor Workshops train in-company personnel in interviewing and behavioural assessment techniques to ensure fair and accurate evaluations when acting as assessors.

 

Management Style Indicator (MSI) Facilitator Training

Duration: Two days

This programme is designed to equip the professional trainer, human resource specialist or line manager to facilitate in-house MSI programmes.

 

Focused Interviewing

Duration: Two days

Focused interviewing is based on the principle that past work behaviour can be an excellent predictor of future job performance.  Candidates are asked to provide examples of events, which are then probed for detailed evidence relating to specific work performance criteria.
